 I am thoroughly confused with the public school process. I live in Playa Del Rey and my daughter will be turning 5 in July 2012. I know she is eligible to start kindergarten for 2012-2013 year. How do I apply for this school, is there an application process or because this is our home school is she automatically accepted and I just need to sign her up? I also have heard conflicting stories regarding whether she will be eligible to stay at this school for Grades 1-5. Will I need to apply again to the school for 1t grade or is she allowed to stay in the school because it is her home school? Lastly, if we move out of the area but our childcare remains in playa, where do I go to get a permit to keep her here? Any help for this mom is greatly appreciated. I came from a private school background and clearly have no clue.

My son will be starting at the Kindergarten. I am wondering about the first day of class and whether his classes are done by lunch time.

 We are blowing out the left over silent auction items from last Saturday's Paseo Island Festival. There are some real big bargains here! Please see the attached list. If you have any interest in purchasing any of these items, please go to the parent center at Paseo on Monday May 16th from 8-9am or 2:30-3:30pm with money in hand.
